Garnet is a very prominent girl, and has very many different sides to her. Perhaps the most common one everyone sees is the quiet side. She likes to keep to herself, not really getting out of her own little box of boundaries she set for herself. She's rather artistic, taking a little bit out time everyday to create a little part of the sketch that will eventually will be done. You could talk to her, when she's in this stage, and the whole conversation will go over her head. She can't concentrate on anything but the paper in front of her, which makes her a pretty good sudent. She prefers to be alone or with her close friends than being in a big group of people. People tend to ignore her, and she's fine with it.
Yet, there is a dark side to this girl. She has a bit of a temper, which can get a little out of hand. It takes a lot to get her to this stage, but she seems to float around this location at the times of stress. She stresses a lot before tests or something major. Lately, because of this school's history, she's really had a lot of times of 'going off the deep end'. During these times, she mainly speaks the cold-hard truth about someone. Nobody knows how, but she has the way of knowing at least one good story about someone that usually gets them upset because they don't want that subject brought back up.
Almost like she has bipolar, after these rampages, she'll go into a slight depression. It's been rumored she cuts herself, but nobody really has any proof at all that she does. When she's upset, she'll ignore everybody, including her friends, and she'll zone out during classes. When she's upset, and someone tries to confront her about it, you have two things that will come up. She'll have a spaz attack on you, saying she was never really upset. Denial is the most common of the stages. The other one is she'll suddenly realize where the heck she is and apologize, or avoid the person.
But, Garnet isn't a goody-two-shoes-southern-bell. Yeah, I said it. She isn't. There is the other side to her, the rebel side. This is one of the reasons she so high-strung around people at the Academy. Occasionally, she'll pull out her little bag of tricks. The ever so often things that she does are minimal, but she plays them on the people who she knows will take it more than that. Only her extremely close friends know of this, and tend to be fifty-fifty on the subject. She doesn't get caught, mainly because nobody would suspect her unless they really thought about it. Se doesn't frame anybody for it, but sometimes she thinks she should to try and keep the school board from suspecting her.
The last and a good point about Garnet is that she's very competetive. She doesn't like thinking that someone else could beat her at something because of species or whatever. She'll challenge people to competitions, trying to prove herself. She'll lose, but she likes to think of herself as a winner. Flying, running, drawing, you name it. She may not be good, but she'll be ready to compete with you. This may lead to something she'll soon regret, but at the moment, she's a teenager and doesn't care what the teachers think as long as they don't get past her facade.

personal history;
Born on January fourteenth, Garnet was the miracle baby. Her mother Ruby had never expected to bear child, yet here was little Garnet come to life. Since this was there one and only child, they tended to spoil her. She was born with a dark brown shade of hair, green eyes, and stood at twenty-two inches, and weighed nine pounds. She was a beautiful daughter, any parent would say. But she truly was a beauty, being a fairy. Slightly curved nose and almond shaped eyes. As it was said, her eyes would change colors, but not many payed much attention to this. It wasn't something that should be noticed, yet it was occasionally caught by the visitor.
Growing up, Garnet was treated as a princess. Her parents weren't extremely rich, but she still got a lot of whatever she wanted. Her hair grew out, going to about her shoulders, and she would convince her parents to cut it shorter at times. She grew more lean, and started drawing toward the age of seven. She took dance, though she didn't really like it, hoping to find something to act in. She loved acting, and practiced tactics upon her parents. They were impressed and she loved to see their delight with her. It was a story-time family, until they had to send Garnet away to the Academy.
Of course, she whined, and begged not to leave. But, her parents had too. They didn't want her growing up in the warring environment outside of the Academy. They told her again and again that it wasn't a good idea to stay away. She was too young, mentally, to truly understand, but after some restless nights, she finally accepted and went to Forevermore Academy. The doors loomed to her, but she dealt with it internally. She didn't like seeing her parents stress out. She'd heard rumors about this place, and was really quite freaked about the fact of going to school here. Her parents left her.
This was at the beginning of the year, and she was going through her freshman year. She doesn't talk to her parents much, upset that they had left her. Some say she has a sepperation anxiety, since she hasn't tried to make many friends yet. Truth is she doesn't want to put herslf in the position to be left behind again. She knows silently that her parent are waiting for her, but she wo't admit it to herself. Ever since they left her, they haven't given any word from them. And so Garnet's story begins...

rp sample; Dakota sighed, looking out over the brightening landscape. The suns rays finally started making a difference but it didn't seem to change the temperature that had creeped in Dakota's heart. Why would they bring her back, if they were ust looking to kill the bird-kids? She tilted her head back, her eyes closed against the pink sky. She heard the familliar sounds from below. Cars starting, people talking, a few loud coffee makers from some kitchens across the way. She'd been staying her at the roof for a while, and she was okay with the fact that she'd memorized the location. It was kind of a place where she could call 'home'.
She opened her eyes as she heard an unknown sound from below. Someone tripping, most likely. She tried to shake it off, but she couldn't leave the feeling that someone was coming up here. She tried to peer forward off the edge from where she was at, but she couldn't see directly over the edge of the building. She took a deep breath, and then let it out, her eyes blinking closed again. There was more sounds from below, and the unmistakable sound of footsteps on stairs, but she ignored it. She wasn't going to get worked up over nothing. She heard the door to the roof open, and she smirked. It was probably another hobo. They strayed up here far to often for her liking.
She felt a tap on her shoulder, and she turned, ready to tell the homeless hobo to buzz off when she noticed who it was. She froze. It hadn't been a dream, and she narrowed her eyes, but a little unexpected feeling fluttered up in her chest, but she shook it off. She gave a crooked smile as he spoke, and gave a slight laugh. "As usual," She nodded, turning back to the rising sun. It was here where she first fought Fox, but she had the feeling that he wasn't in the mood to attack her today. She lent back a little bit, letting the sun's minimal heat of the beginning of the day warm her. At least she knew it wasn't a halluciantion.
Something threw her off about Fox, though. He was smiling. Why he was smiling, she didn't know, and particulary didn't really care. But it threw her off a slight bit, knowing that some emotion was going on inside Fox and she couldn't place it. She glanced back at him, still smiling like an idiot. "You want something?" She quieried, tilting her head to one side in a curious fashion. She frowned as she realized something she hadn't before. She had smiled at him... Once... Before she died. She shuddered, as if from cold. She knew the feeling now, and she wasn't about to face it. It was the worst emotion in the books, even worse for herself. But, strangely, she was okay with it. She smirked once more, and turned back to the sun. Whether Fox would join her or not was his choice, but she was going to be more cautious now that she knew what was going on.
